The William M. Maguy School of Education, a division of Inc., provides three key programs at their downtown Porterville location: Citizenship preparation classes, English as a Second Language (ESL), and High School Equivalency. All classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The classes are designed to meet the diverse needs of the Central Valley community. The citizenship program helps individuals prepare for naturalization, while the ESL classes support non-native English speakers in developing language proficiency. The High School Equivalency program assists adults in earning their educational credentials.
Understanding that many students are parents, Inc. provides free childcare during class sessions, removing a significant barrier to education access.
The Porterville classes are held at 54 N. Main Street, Suite 10, in downtown Porterville. The program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), ensuring students receive quality instruction that meets established educational standards.
